Ian Collins

Ian Collins leads product development for Volta Trucks, who are revolutionising last-mile logistics by delivering safer, more sustainable, electric trucks which protect vulnerable road users and improve city centre environments for all.

Ian joined Volta Trucks in June 2020 from Polestar, where he was responsible for the establishment of Polestar’s UK engineering team. Prior to this he was Technical Director of Emerald Automotive Design, delivering the LEVC TX e-city taxi from initial concept through to series production. He has also held senior engineering positions at McLaren Automotive and Rover Group.
